TCOM at the Program Level

Abstract

Effective collaboration, particularly when it is envisioned to work across levels of a system, requires that everyone gain something from the collaborative process. Programs and agencies benefit from a person-centered approach in a variety of ways. First, it is a strategy to enhance the performance of the program/agency interventions. By shifting to an aspiration management framework to ensure that helpers are doing what they entered the field to do—helping others organizational climate and culture is enhanced. Anecdotal evidence suggests employee retention and job satisfaction. One of the challenges of TCOM at the program level is building the capacity to analyze person-centered data within ongoing utilization management and quality improvement structures.
