Abstract

Given the increasing relevance and popularity of NFTs in online markets, this chapter presents a review of the available marketing literature on this subject. This review adopts a systematic approach that combined proper technology-related and business-related keywords to search for relevant papers published on the topic from 2015 to 2021 and available on major academic databases (e.g., Business Source Premiere). Three central topics around NFTs emerged from this literature review—that is, intellectual property, lifestyles, and entertainment—which are widely discussed along with related business opportunities.
