We Reply to Potential Questions and Criticisms

Abstract

Many questions, criticisms and objections can be raised against the analysis and proposals presented in this book. Here, the authors present their views in the form of responses to eight hypothetical questions and criticisms. These include questions such as these: Is present money really that bad? Does bad money mean low investment? Is excess debt rather than excess money the real problem? Why focus on super-money? Can democracies accept the rules the authors propose? Would reforms increase instability in various forms? Do geopolitical dangers add to the case for reform?
