Abstract

One of the more difficult things for social critics is to turn their attention to affirmative paths forward. Importantly, I have chosen to do so by dropping academic apparatuses, policy prescriptions from experts, and other evidence from the public sphere. Instead, I turn to the resources of common sense and an innate moral sensibility unencumbered by the traditional need to support my observations with the research and arguments of others. In short, what follows are open ideas about how we can change our way of thinking about the role of economics in our everyday lives as we chart our way forward.
