Abstract

The purpose of this chapter is to present the wider context in which the concept of green behaviors operates together with various problems arising from overlapping conceptualizations. The aim will also be to demonstrate the value of better understanding the operationalization of these behaviors. The operationalization of each variable will be shown to be fundamentally important and to require a rigorous definition of green behaviors to allow for their observation and measurement in organizational settings. Finally, the protocol used to conduct the systematic review is presented.
