Abstract

This chapter looks into the future of the university and the integration of organizational leadership for university governance models. The main sections will cover topics such as social leadership through university social responsibility, transparency, accountability, and democracy, changes and priorities for on-campus and off-campus student life, and the need to create and sustain cross-sector partnerships, for the sake of the education institution leadership facing the future. It is argued that these four areas will determine the university’s success in maintaining and growing its position of leadership in the society that surrounds it.
