Abstract

The aim of the chapter is to identify how digitalisation impacts the value creation and appropriation processes in small companies’ network relationships. In the empirical research, qualitative data was used. In a case study focused on a digital platform and two other small companies that cooperate with the platform, the authors analysed the impact of digitalisation on the processes of value creation and appropriation within each of these relationships. As the result of the analysis, the authors identified specific dimensions of the value created and appropriated in network relationships that are characteristic for small companies.
