Abstract

Producing quality products—products that satisfy customer expectations—becomes more complex daily. Consumers increasingly expect high-tech products that are low in price, durable, and attractive. Increasingly, consumers are also adding environmental criteria to their list of product expectations. Corporations are expected to comply with environmental regulations, carry out business with an environmentally conscious ethic, and manufacture and market products with reduced environmental impacts.
