Abstract
Purpose/objectives: The article is devoted to the study of a planet-scale phenomenon caused by global climate change due to the impact of anthropogenic and natural factors. High industrialization of society around the world causes a burden on the environment—harmful emissions into the atmosphere and reduction of viable ecosystems. In the twenty-first century, the greenhouse effect is increasing, and the sea level is rising. The global climate changes result in reducing of territories suitable for human life, growing of endangered species of flora and fauna, reducing of world freshwater resources in glaciers of the Arctic region and Antarctica, and an increase in technological disasters and anthropogenic pressure on the inhabited territories of the planet. Therefore, it is necessary to pay attention to this problem and look for ways to reduce the growth rate of global climate threats. Methodology: In this work, methods of regulatory analysis and assessment of the current international regulation and management of climate doctrines in developed countries of the world, methods of comparative and trend analysis of statistical data, content analysis, formalization and analog, and datasets of the Institute of Scientific Communications were applied. Results: The analysis of the climate doctrines implemented by main developed countries has proved the need for cooperation between countries to confront the global climate challenge to mankind at large. The climate change is becoming one of the key problems of modern society, which affects the interests of the entire world economy. Conclusions/relevance: Climatic changes on our planet force mankind to reconsider its position in relation to the environment; threats to the global economic system caused by the changes necessitate integrating efforts of all world powers and joint work on preserving current ecosystems. Trends in global climate policy allow developing new approaches and tools for careful production and life of all mankind.
