Abstract

Different aspects of the outcomes of the ENRICH programme have been analysed in Chaps. 4 and 5 . The ultimate focus of the programme is on one larger goal, which embodies all—whether the ENRICH programme has helped the poor and deprived people who have joined the programme to achieve human dignity. This chapter develops a theoretical framework to measure dignity, which is applied in Chap. 7 for actual measurement of dignity. However, before outlining the framework, it is necessary to have a clear idea about two issues. First, what is dignity? And second, how an individual can achieve dignity?
