Abstract

This chapter was completed at the beginning of April 2020 (and some information may have changed since then). As mentioned in Chaps. 1 and 6 in this book, epidemics are major geopolitical risks. This chapter analyzes some of the constitutional political economy, compliance (compliance with government regulations/statutes, tax laws, etc.) and Constitutional Contagion problems created by epidemics and associated responses (using US case law and statutes).
