Abstract

Anthony’s success as a multimillion-dollar entrepreneur had modest roots—an activity in his middle school classroom. His teachers led students through the basics of sound money management and what it takes to launch a successful business. More importantly, they encouraged Anthony to take control of his own future. You already know that what happens in the classroom matters. If you have found the ideas presented in this book to be beneficial, don’t keep it a secret. Share it with your students, colleagues, and parents. There is a plethora of high quality classroom resources. Important providers of personal finance curriculum materials include the Council on Economic Education, Federal Reserve System, Junior Achievement, Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Finance, Next Gen Personal Finance, and the National Endowment for Financial Education. This chapter also offers important tips for engaging parents and helping other teachers.
