Abstract

The future of procurement 4.0 can be seen as procurement 5.0. Apart from this culmination of procurement 4.0’s transformation, procurement 4.0 has a future in itself. In procurement 4.0, changes become a permanent habit of enterprises and their components, from processes to platforms, persons, and partners. Procurement 4.0 draws particular attention to sustainable procurement. Green procurement becomes a specific part of engagement in procurement 4.0 and a substantial contribution to the welfare not only of an organization but also to the community and territories where that organization is present with its units, products, and services.
