Abstract

This chapter relates to the next one (Chap. 10 ) in order to propose, from a theoretical exploration of corporate social responsibility (CSR), an explanation of four cases of Responsabilité Sociale, Sociétale et Environnementale (RSE) strategies of multinational companies and the way organizations make sense of their strategies and practices. Is CSR now related to the universality of values (and of hierarchies of values), in order to legitimize organizational practices? Even if the analysis highlights the diffusion of a new managerial model integrating the CSR, how does one envisage the communication between the practices and the discourses in different ideological, economic, and social contexts?
