Abstract

Joseph F. Hair Jr. completed his Ph.D. at the University of Florida in August 1971. The following month, Joe arrived with his lovely wife Dale in Oxford, Mississippi, and began working as an Assistant Professor of Marketing at the University of Mississippi. Joe and Dale were at Ole Miss for 6 years. In the 5th year, Dale gave birth to their son, Joseph F. Hair III. The following paragraphs highlight many of Joe’s significant actions and contributions during the early years of his career.
