Abstract

Zusammenfassung In diesem Kapitel werden wir uns zunächst näher mit verschiedenen Arten von Forschung mit Kindern und den Arten von Daten befassen, die wir von ihnen erhalten können, und besser verstehen, was wir realistischerweise von der Benutzerforschung mit Kindern erwarten können. Es wird zeigen, dass die kognitiven Fähigkeiten von Erwachsenen, insbesondere ihre metakognitiven Fähigkeiten und ihre Fähigkeiten in Mathematik, sie (nun, uns) sowohl als Forscher als auch als Befragte von Kindern trennen. Wir können uns nicht in demselben Maße auf Selbstberichte verlassen wie bei Erwachsenen, und das verpflichtet uns, uns auf andere Forschungsmethoden zu konzentrieren als auf die, die wir verwenden würden, wenn Erwachsene unsere Befragten wären.
