Abstract

The pace of innovation and evolution of technology compounded with a dynamic business environment make it absolutely essential for every organization to understand and manage IT and associated risks that are incident upon and their implications for business. With an ever-growing adoption and application of technology across enterprise functions, the need for awareness becomes fundamental to managing IT. One of the best ways to minimize risk and optimally gain from investments in technology is having better awareness and clarity on the technology road map and its direction of evolution. Understanding the road map and future direction help mitigate the risks emanating from a possible gap as well as aligning business plans and strategies with the forthcoming capabilities and changes in the technology. Having an eye on the product road map also ensures that all stakeholders are mindful of upcoming changes and being upskilled too.
