Abstract

What can one say about credit cards that hasn’t already been said? Even though we know just how dangerous they can be, we still continue to use them. The problem isn’t really the cards. It’s us. Human nature has a way of taking a good idea and making it bad. A credit card, after all, is a pretty neat idea provided you pay your bills on time. The big problem, however, is that very few people actually do this. And when you don’t pay your bills on time, the bills can grow. Secondly, few of us truly understand the terms of our credit cards. The banks that issue the cards prefer not to go out of their way to explain the terms and conditions to you and, instead, choose to bury you in fine print. After all, if they were clear and specific, far fewer people would use them.
