Abstract

While the previous chapter has established the enormity of cricket’s influence justifying the need for careful nurturing of the game, the present chapter aims to find out the key stakeholders, their aspirations and any shortfall in achieving the same, so that the gap can be bridged using management and analytic techniques. Since ICC is the apex body in cricket and is responsible for the entire policy-making and the processes for implementation, it follows the hierarchic governance structure. It will be interesting to look into the organizational governance of other sports organizations and related literature.
