With cyber threats escalating, enhanced by technological advances, healthcare organizations are becoming more vulnerable. This chapter underscores the imperative for robust cybersecurity measures to mitigate risks associated with data breaches and system compromises. It discusses key applications of cybersecurity such as data protection and regulatory compliance, emphasizing design considerations and strategies for developing resilient healthcare security systems. By addressing these challenges and opportunities, this chapter provides healthcare professionals and policymakers with essential insights to enhance cybersecurity practices, ultimately fostering a secure healthcare environment amid persistent digital threats.
