Abstract

This research was conducted to contribute to developing research focusing on the importance of leaders with technological leadership and its impact on organizational performance. More specifically, this study examines how technology leadership impacts sustainable performance, explicitly exploring the mediating role of GHRM and the moderating role of green knowledge sharing. Drawing on upper echelons theory, this study will develop a research framework to investigate these relationships. We surveyed 368 employees working at companies in Long An province, Vietnam. The research results show that technology leadership has a positive relationship with sustainable performance, and the research also explores the mediating role of GHRM in the above relationship. Interestingly, the study results show that green knowledge sharing plays a moderating role, so the relationship between GHRM and sustainable performance is more robust when green knowledge sharing is high and weaker when green knowledge sharing is low. Finally, this study integrates the concept of technology leadership as a strategy to promote GHRM processes and policies that impact organizational sustainability. At the same time, the study highlights theoretical contributions, managerial implications, limitations, and further research.
