Abstract

Global environmental problems require an immediate response from society, national governments, and the leadership of large corporations. The concept of sustainable development and the theory and practice of the green economy became kind the response to these challenges. This paper continues our research on this topic and contributes to the study of the transition to a green economy. The object of our research is the balance of economic interests in society in the context of green economy. The objective of this study is the identifying economic interests influencing the dynamics of the development of green and traditional economics in the context of the increasing complexity of the logistics of energy resource supplies. The methodology is based on a subject-activity approach, analysis, synthesis, system, and institutional approaches. Research works of scientists-economists and data of the research reports carried out by the authors were used. We revealed the inconsistency of the economic interests influencing the dynamics of the development of green and traditional economy. We proved that only countries with a socially oriented economy can successfully solve the problem of coordinating economic interests and the effective development of green economy in a historical perspective. This allows for advances in the field of green economy research. We showed the significance and limitations of the findings, as well as prospects for further research in this sphere.
