Abstract

This article discusses the prospects and risks of introducing new instruments of monetary circulation—digital currency. Technology, like public relations, does not stand still: digital technologies are replacing the usual means of money circulation. At this stage, states should determine for themselves whether they will be the flagships of the digital economy or will use digital currencies offered by other countries. The article discusses the trends in the introduction of digital technologies in the world and in Russia. The analysis and differentiation of the main tools used in the economy is carried out. The risks and dangers of introducing a digital currency are considered. The article provides arguments in favor of the use of new economic tools.
