Non-aeronautical Services Offer as an Airport Revenue Management Tool

Abstract

Non-aeronautical revenues are one of the elements of generating inflows from airport operations. Therefore, revenue management plays an important role. The use of this instrument allows air operators to conduct a flexible policy of shaping prices, including prices for renting commercial space. Therefore, it can be stated that the selection of diversified non-aeronautical services provided at the terminal influences the pricing policy of airports. There are effect traffic in market. Airports wanting to be competitive, diversify the offer of non-aeronautical services, using various models of cooperation. The availability of non-aeronautical services in all ports is similar, which is why non-aeronautical services provided at the Airport in Gdańsk have been presented hereby. However, in order for supply to be able to comprehensively meet the needs of consumers, it is advisable to systematically conduct surveys assessing the quality of services provided by infrastructure operators. This is also the purpose of this work. It was carried out based on primary research carried out at all airports.
