Abstract

With the development of the social economy, the renovation of existing residential areas in cities has been promoted and implemented. This paper explores people’s living requirements and the imbalance between the ecological quality and the development of society and economy in an existing urban residential area, and particularly analyzes the alienation of public space and the management of the residential area. Based on the social significance of the residential area's ecological quality improvement, the sustainability-oriented improvement path of ecological quality in the urban residential area is investigated from the perspective of the public space, road system, original social structure, and management.
