Abstract

The global food supply chain faces numerous challenges, including increasing demand, concerns about safety, and the need for sustainable practices. The adoption of Internet of Things (IoT) technologies in the agricultural industry has become a pivotal advancement, facilitating improved traceability, safety, and real-time control in intelligent farming operations. This paper undertakes an extensive review of literature to investigate the networking technologies of IoT within agriculture, emphasizing their deployment, efficacy, and influence on contemporary agricultural methodologies. Through rigorous selection and analysis of academic research, this study identifies key IoT solutions that significantly contribute to advancing agricultural productivity and sustainability. The findings aim to provide deeper insights into the current state of IoT technology in agriculture, highlighting its challenges, developments, and potential avenues for future research.
