Abstract

The purpose of the article is to study the transformation of the personnel system in the context of Industry 4.0. The economic and social consequences of Industry 4.0 determined the research methods—historical, critical and comparative analysis. The authors concluded that there is a discrepancy between the training system of IT personnel and the requirements of “digital” workplaces. The study revealed that during the transition to Industry 4.0, the requirements for employee competencies are changing revolutionarily, as well as new forms of connections between demand from new industries and supply from educational and personnel institutions are emerging. The authors proposed a classification of these forms of connections.
