Abstract

Multi-criteria decision support (MCDA) has been one of the areas with very strong growth in operational research over the past two decades. The MCDA is often involved in ranking many concrete alternatives, from best to worst, based on several conflicting criteria. The development of MCDA methods has been driven not only by a variety of real-life issues requiring consideration of several criteria but also by the desire of practitioners to come up with improved decision-making techniques using recent advances in mathematical optimization, scientific computing, and computer technology. Among the MCDA methods, we will apply the PROMETHEE method (Preference Ranking Organization Method for Enrichment Evaluations) in the classification of aircraft flight.
