Abstract

Bulgaria, categorized as a low-income country, has the lowest GDP per capita in Europe. The concept of corporate social responsibility (CSR) was introduced in Bulgaria in the early years of socio-economic transition by international organisations and has developed in response to external influence and pressure. This chapter is performed in order to understand whether social responsibility is a driving motivator for the new generations while searching for prospective employers. This work shows that job seekers look for a good workplace and for attributes that relate to employers’ responsibility towards employees. The respondents show low interest for the social and environmental commitment of the prospective employer.
