CSR in the Confucian Culture

Abstract

The concept of Confucian Asia refers to a set of countries in East Asia such as China, South Korea and Japan where Confucianism forms the fundamental philosophic background. Indeed, these countries are infused with norms and values taught by Confucius and Mencius and present many cultural similarities. This chapter is a conspectus of Confucianism to understand the foundations that shape society and corporate structure and practices followed by Confucianism.
