Abstract

The authors of the article have carried out the analysis of the influence of international sanctions imposed on Russia and its membership in the WTO and their impact on the Russian agro-industrial complex. The most dangerous factors that affect the agriculture are defined. The authors have considered current conditions and problems of food security in Russia and Volgograd Oblast, in particular. The measures for enhancing the agriculture state support mechanism on the regional level are given in the article on the basis of Russia’s admission to the WTO; the analysis of possible risks is made with respect to international sanctions imposed on Russia. In addition to the implementation of state support for agriculture, it is important to take into account the conditions of international sanctions in view of the remaining requirements and the WTO rules.
