Abstract

Albert Aftalion discourses on crises and cycles as well as the accelerator effect, developing what would become known as the stove metaphor. He supported gender financial equality and lauded the practice of the Caisses d’épargne to open accounts for married women under their maiden name and savings books without the consent of their husbands in 1881, 84 years before the Law of 13 July 1965 finally recognised the financial independence of women, also their refusal to return sums to the husband, still recognised by law as wielding marital power, without the written consent of the spouse. Atanas Burov, Chudomir, Pavel Vezhinov, Yaroslav Radev, Vasil Karakashev, Veselin Georgiev, Zhivko Sotirov, and Stiliyan Chilingirov write about the many facets of money, Radoy Ralin, Ivan Arnaudov, Karakashev, and Petar Anastasov about corruption. Radoy Ralin explains the reason for wars. Radoy Ralin, Stoyan Stoyanov, Alexi Andreev, Zdravka Evtimova, Petar Beron, and Anastasov share their views on poverty.
