Abstract

Vladas Jurgutis, “the father of the Lithuanian litas”, considers that: “In monetary history, as if in a kaleidoscope, not only the history of the state itself but also the history of the entire nation passes by”. Jonas Jablonskis explains that you have to look for work by yourself everywhere and always. Stasys Šalkauskis and Kazimieras Saja provide insights into ownership. Leonidas Donskis writes about what the immersive career means in modern days and denounces the incessant growth of bureaucracy, which he sees as the almost medieval mistrust of the individual. Algimantas Čekuolis explains what determines the well-being of a nation.
