Abstract

Drawing on the findings collected through mixed methods, the current chapter examines non-profit organizations in India. More specifically, the study explores NPOs opportunities and challenges, along with best practices concerning the adoption and management of donors, funds, and programs. The study focused on practical research problems in the field of Human Resources, Marketing the use of Technology. As derived by the survey and interviews, Human Resources (HR) has been comparatively more successful in managing donors, funds and programs than Marketing and Technology. Considering ‘somewhat’ and ‘partial’ success, HR leads in donors and funds but lags in programs compared to marketing and technology. HR is better in funds, and marketing in only donors and funds with technology lagging in all three comparatively. Under ‘neutral’ in HR donors and funds are considered, with marketing considered in all three and technology considered in funds and somewhat in donors.
