The Fourth Pillar of Strategic Sustainability—Online Life: Responsible Leadership, Uncertainty Avoidance, and Online Dating Platforms

Abstract

This research adds the fourth pillar of sustainability to the traditional three pillars: social, economic, ecological and fourth: online life. New technologies in Online Dating Platforms are changing the way they are, first, used by daters, second, managed by specialized organizations, and third, elaborated for the future. Therefore the call for a new research approach from the standpoint of sustainability, innovation management and entrepreneurship development. Hence, this study investigates how ‘sustainability,’ ‘responsible leadership’ and ‘online dating platforms’ are linked, and how to avoid the uncertainty involved in new encounters in online dating platforms and/or in business. To reach this goal, the author interviewed 242 respondents about online dating platforms from 2020 until 2022, respectively 197 respondents on responsible leadership from 2015 to 2019.
