Internationalization strategies

Abstract

This chapter identifies internationalization patterns of banks: what did they have in common, and how did they differ? Commonalities and differences for clients and products are first reviewed, after which organizational form and phases in internationalization are discussed. Integration is pursued by applying the previous findings to five stylized types of realized internationalization strategies.
