Abstract

There are crooks in business all over the world. The reason why there are fewer in the West than in Asia is not because of culture or tradition but simply because they can be taken to court in the West. The legal system also works well in Singapore and so its citizens are generally law-abiding. The threat of punishment has the same effect the world over.
