Abstract

The exports of Nepal mainly comprise items manufactured from natural fibres such as wool, cotton and jute as well as leather and a few kinds of agricultural produce. These exports may be affected by environmental legislation in OECD countries if it relates to the importation of these products, is directed at product and process standards for these items, or bans hazardous chemicals used in their manufacture.
