Abstract

The Maghreb countries of Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco, Lybia and Mauretania have undergone major changes in the past thirty years both in the social and the economic spheres. One of the factors at the origin of these transformations has undoubtedly been the massive acquisition of technology from abroad, particularly for the countries, such as Algeria and Lybia which have benefited from important oil surpluses.
