Consumer Expenditure

Abstract

In this chapter we review some of the applications of econometric techniques in the field of consumer expenditure. There are two main fields of enquiry. First there is the analysis of market demand for commodities and services. The purpose of the theory is to predict the pattern of expenditure of a consumer as he responds to the stimuli of income and price changes.
