Recruiting and Retaining People

Abstract

Human input will always be expensive: to clients in terms of fees and to consultancies in terms of the cost of recruitment and retention. But, while the competition for the best people is particularly intense, simply offering people more and more money is not the solution. To attract good people, we need to ensure that consultancy continues to be an intellectually challenging profession, one where people can have breakthrough ideas and develop a sense that they are making a significant contribution in whatever field they are working.
