Abstract

Big corporations, particularly the international companies, have a constant fear of litigation — and for good reason. With their operations in five continents, working in countries of totally different legal systems and customer mentality, litigation can become a nightmare. But international operations are not the only source of legal problems. For some firms, even in their own country of origin there has been the chilling impact of court action, with sky-rocketing legal costs and a heavy burden on the time schedules of their senior executives.
