Remembering Joan Robinson

Abstract

The role of Joan Robinson in the writing of Keynes’s General Theory is amply displayed in the publication of his Collected Works, and most particularly in volumes XIII, XIV and XXIX. Even in 1931, she was a prominent figure in that small group — the Circus — which was so influential in the debates that moved Keynes from the Treatise on Money to take that revolutionary step — the development of macroeconomics as set out in the General Theory.
