Abstract

There is no escaping the impact the workplace environment has on how an individual manages religion at work. In the previous chapters participants raised the point that the type of industry one was engaged in may affect openness when discussing religion. They also considered how the diversity of an organization affected workplace dialogues. Participants indicated that organizational policies were a factor in how open people were to talking about religion. Throughout the interviews and focus groups, participants raised problems brought about by religion in the workplace. This chapter will outline those problems and discuss perceived organizational cultures and their effect on religious diversity management. Further, this chapter will present how the organizations were perceived to solve religious diversity management issues.
