Abstract

Two years later, Gage was back at the country club again. The scene was much different. No more gray winter skies. This time, Gage took in the smell of fresh-cut grass. It was May and the golf course was finally open for the season. Gage was still processing that earlier conversation as if it were yesterday. He was still pondering the question: Who do you need to be, Gage? But for the first time in many years, he felt like a new man. He spent at least 25 hours a week in the kitchen. No more tequila. The sleepless nights were few and far between. He had even written a letter to his Dad, expressing his anger … as well as his forgiveness. Of course, he had no way of sending it to his Dad, because he didn’t know where he was.
