Abstract

Rodney Dangerfield built a career around his lack of it; Aretha Franklin got us on the dance floor with her demand for it; teenagers sometimes commit mayhem in pursuit of it. And “ordinary heroes” earn it day in and day out through their acts of integrity, authority, grace, and kindness.
