Suggestions for Future Research

Abstract

In addition to providing a chapter in each part, detailing the challenges and limitations associated with the respective analytics described in each part, there is also included a chapter briefly touching on various potential directions that future research in the field could take. This is by no means intended to be a fully comprehensive or exhaustive list of all potential research that can be done. In fact, the potential range of research that could be pursued is limited only to the collective imagination and intellect of those who try, which is far greater than what any individual can conceive. Instead, this is only intended to be a description of those things that seem to me to be natural implications of those methods already being utilized, which are described throughout the chapters of each part. Often they are things related to facing the challenges or overcoming the limitations of the existing available methods. Sometimes they will be the result of those methods already being utilized included through the chapters in that part, but which have yet to be pursued. Other times they are items that have already been addressed in theory, or in other fields, but have yet to be incorporated into strategy development. Nothing listed in these chapters suggesting directions of future research are without some existing reference point, though.
