Abstract

Project management involves many different kinds of skills, such as technical skills, the business knowledge, people skills, management and leadership skills, and the knowledge of the human aspect of management. Many people have their own opinions on the qualifications of an information systems (IS) project manager. I believe there are four essential skill areas important for being a project manager: 1. Knowledge of the business 2. Technical skills 3. Completion of project management courses or training 4. Leadership style
