Abstract

In the previous chapters, New Marxian Class Analysis was employed as an alternative methodology to the worker ownership model that so many worker cooperatives depend on. We saw that ownership is not necessarily an essential aspect in the formation of Worker Self-Directed Enterprises (WSDEs). Conversely, however, ownership may be a very important condition of existence, along with financing, rents, insurance, and the political environment, as well as multiple variables that may either support or compromise the longevity of such enterprises.
