What Makes a Green Issue?

Abstract

If something is an issue, it means that it is difficult, controversial and will arouse opposition. There are thousands of organizations, companies and projects which will never fit into this category. However, the difficulty is in finding out which projects or industries will suddenly fall into this category. This world is fluid and moves very rapidly. What was not an issue yesterday may be one today. Whale hunting was as acceptable 50 years ago (even celebrated in the novel and film Moby Dick) as cattle rearing is today. And it is not inconceivable we will see a time when animal husbandry is outlawed.
